How you will learn Spanish in Barcelona
In Living the Language “LTL”, we believe that the best way of acquiring a second language is to live the language, or in other words, to immerse oneself in the country and culture where the language is spoken (Barcelona). At Living the Language our teaching methods involve a variety of communicative activities that extend well beyond the conventional classroom learning experience.
At LTL, we appreciate that not all students learn in the same way nor have the same learning objectives. At LTL you will receive one-on-one class instruction that is specifically tailored to your language level, goals and needs (e.g. grammar, communication, pronunciation, comprehension, etc.). Moreover, you will discover that the classroom is only one part of your dynamic learning experience at LTL.
Outside the classroom you will live in a traditional Spanish household with your teacher. Each day when classes have ended, you will learn first-hand the customs and culture of a traditional Spanish home while living with your professor and her family. If the student desires, the school can also provide excursions that will enable you to experience cultural activities outside the home.
These may include shopping, eating out, sporting events, museums, concerts, theatre, the cinema or other venues or attractions in the greater Barcelona area. Our experience has shown that when spanish students are placed in an environment that permits them to continuously communicate and put into practice the language they are learning, they learn exponentially faster than students subjected only to traditional spanish teaching methods.
